Cookie policy

Current position

The public website does not set advertising cookies and Google Analytics is disabled for launch. No audience measurement service is loaded.

Instagram and Facebook are contacted only when you open the relevant link. Google Maps remains blocked until you allow it through the banner, privacy preferences or the button provided in place of the map.

Strictly necessary cookies

The private administration area uses a secure session cookie named __Host-highland_admin. It is used only to keep administrators signed in, protect sensitive operations and prevent unauthorised access.

Purpose

Administration authentication and security

Maximum duration

8 hours

Access

Server only; HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Strict

This cookie is essential to the service requested by administrators and therefore cannot be refused through the interface.

The website also stores your privacy choice in your browser’s local storage under the key highland-consent-v1. This record contains no identifier or browsing data and expires after six months.

Google Maps

The map is optional external content. Before you give permission, only a local placeholder is shown and no request is sent to Google. If you allow it, your browser contacts Google, which may receive your IP address and device information and may set its own cookies in accordance with its policy.

Your choice is stored for six months. You can change it at any time using the “Privacy preferences” link in the footer; withdrawing permission unloads the map immediately. You can also open the address directly in Google Maps, which takes you away from this website.

Audience measurement

No audience measurement category is offered because Google Analytics is not planned for launch. Any future activation will require a new decision, an update to this policy and appropriate consent.

Further information
